Note: Purchase requests only apply to users with the multi-use virtual card enabled.
If you cannot create a new single-use card, purchase request, or view the virtual card1 details, something is prohibiting you from placing new orders. If you attempt to make a Sezzle purchase, it will be declined.
Listed below are a few common reasons why this may occur and how to resolve them:
Outstanding Failed Payment(s)
If you have any outstanding failed payments on your account, you must pay them off in full to view the card details again. You can learn more about failed orders here.
Unpaid Rescheduled Installment(s)
If you have any installments on your account that you have rescheduled, you will need to pay these off in full to view your card details again. You can learn more about rescheduling payments here.
Payments are considered unresolved until your financial institution fully processes them and they are marked as "paid" in our system. Please note that ACH processing typically takes four business days. Learn more about processing payments here.
Insufficient estimated spending power
See tips here for action items you can take toward increasing your estimated spending power.
If you are attempting a new purchase above your remaining estimated spending power, check if you have any unused single-use cards or active purchase requests and cancel them to free up your estimated spending power. Even though you are not charged until your order is placed, the amount of a single-use card or active purchase request is deducted from your estimated spending power. See How do single-use cards and purchase requests impact my estimated spending power?
No Debit or Credit Card Linked
You must have a credit or debit card linked to your account to place new orders with Sezzle. Learn more about adding payment methods to your account here.
Locked Virtual Card (Multi-Use card only)
If you have submitted the "Report a Problem" form, the multi-use virtual card will be locked until our team has finished their investigation. If you have locked the virtual card manually in the app, navigate to the “Virtual Card” tab and unlock the card. Learn more about reporting fraudulent activity here.
If you cannot create a new single-use card or purchase request or view the virtual card details unrelated to the above items, review the common reasons for order declines and actions to take here: Why was I declined for an order?
