If you cannot create a purchase request or the Sezzle Virtual Card details are missing, you cannot place new orders, and if you attempt to make a Sezzle purchase, it will be declined.
Listed below are a few common reasons why this may occur and how to resolve them:
Outstanding Failed Payment(s)
If you have any outstanding failed payments on your account, you must pay them off in full to view your card details again. You can learn more about failed orders here.
Unpaid Rescheduled Installment(s)
If you have any installments on your account that you have rescheduled, you will need to pay these off in full to view your card details again. You can learn more about rescheduling payments here.
Insufficient Spending Power
See tips here for action items you can take toward increasing your spending power. Also consider any active purchase requests you may already have.
Even though you are not charged until you make the purchase, having an active purchase request directly impacts your estimated spending power. If you are attempting a purchase above your remaining spending power, check to see if you have any active, unused purchase requests and cancel them to free up your spending power.
Merchant-specific spending power may not reflect active purchase requests. Our team is working to implement this soon. It’s best to keep your overall estimated spending power and active purchase requests in mind when attempting a new Sezzle order.
Locked Virtual Card
If you have submitted the "Report a Problem" form, the virtual card will be unlocked when our team has finished their investigation. If you have locked the virtual card manually in the app, navigate to the Virtual Card tab and unlock the card. To learn more about locking your virtual card, visit this article.
No Debit or Credit Card Linked
If you do not have a credit or debit card linked to your account, you cannot place new orders with Sezzle. Learn more about adding payment methods to your account here.
