Sezzle Anywhere and the Virtual Card are only available for shoppers in the U.S. at this time. No international purchases will be accepted. Availability and pricing plans for Sezzle Anywhere may vary by individual. There is no physical card for Sezzle at this time.
With an active Sezzle Anywhere subscription, the multi-use virtual card allows you to Pay in 4 online and in-store virtually wherever Visa is accepted, with a few exceptions based on Sezzle’s Acceptable Use Policy.

How do I sign up?
If you’re new to Sezzle, you must first download the Sezzle app and set up a Sezzle account. Please have your mobile phone and a payment method (credit/debit card or bank account information) handy.
Once you are logged in to your account through the Sezzle app, select the “Virtual Card” tab, or if you’re on a mobile device, click here. We’ll then take you step-by-step through getting a multi-use virtual card.
Create a Purchase Request
Purchase requests are required for each multi-use virtual card purchase. Follow the steps below to create and approve a purchase request.
How to create a purchase request through the “Virtual Card” tab
(For general virtual card use or when shopping with Sezzle Anywhere.)
- From the Sezzle app, navigate to the “Virtual Card” tab and click “Make a Purchase Request.”
- Enter the amount you’d like to spend—including shipping, tax, or tip. Make sure it’s within your spending power.
- Review and agree to your loan terms. Your approved amount is good for three days. Once it expires, you'll need to create a new request.
How to create a purchase request through the “Shop” tab
(When shopping with approved Sezzle Premium or Anywhere merchants in the app.)
- If you are shopping within the Sezzle App, click on the merchant you’d like to shop with, and then “Pay with Sezzle.”
- Enter the amount you’d like to spend—including shipping, tax, or tip. Make sure it’s within your spending power.
- Review and agree to your loan terms. Your approved amount is good for three days. Once it expires, you'll need to create a new request.
Note: You'll only be charged for what you spend and won’t be charged until you make a purchase. If you spend less than the amount on the purchase request, your spending power and installment plan will be adjusted accordingly.
If Pay-in-Full is enabled and/or any virtual card purchase order amount is under $20, the order will be charged in full. You don't need to make a purchase request.
The option to pay online or in-store will not be available unless you have an active purchase request. Your transaction will be declined if you attempt to use the Sezzle Virtual Card without an active purchase request that covers the entire amount of the order. You may have multiple active purchase requests if they are within your spending power. Order declines still apply.
How to Order Online
After creating a purchase request, enter the multi-use virtual card information at the merchant’s checkout, similar to any other payment card.
To access your card number, expiration date, and security code, you can either log into the Sezzle app and select the "Virtual Card" tab or log into your Sezzle dashboard through a web browser and select “Virtual Card.” We recommend using the copy function and pasting the information into the merchant’s checkout page to avoid errors when entering your card information.
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email from Sezzle. You can then log into your account to view your payment dates and amounts.
How to Add to Your Mobile Wallet & Pay In-Store
After creating a purchase request, the “Add to Wallet” option will become available so you can add the virtual card to your digital wallet (Google Pay or Apple Pay only). To add the virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, log in to the Sezzle app, select the “Virtual Card” tab, and then the "Add to Wallet" button below the card image. You’ll then be walked through the steps to configure the card to the correct wallet.
If you’ve already added the multi-use virtual card to your wallet, you do not need to re-add it as the card details do not change. Creating the purchase request activates the same card for use.
Once your card has been added, you can use it at checkout just like any other virtual card – by unlocking and tapping your phone at the payment terminal. For more information on how to set up and use Apple Pay, click here. For more information on how to set up and use Google Pay, click here.
Common Questions
What happens if I attempt to use the virtual card without having an active purchase request?
If you are attempting to use the virtual card and do not have an active purchase request, you will be sent a notification right away asking you to create a purchase request before completing the order. It’s just a few steps and best to create one before you shop for a smoother checkout experience.
What happens to my spending power after creating a purchase request?
See "How do purchase requests impact my spending power?"
Can I cancel a purchase request after agreeing to loan terms?
Yes, if you decide not to proceed with the purchase or change your mind, simply navigate to the Virtual Card tab, identify the purchase request, and select “Cancel.”
Why did my purchase request expire?
Either you did not make a purchase within the 72-hour period, or the merchant did not confirm your order. When the purchase request expires, you may request another and attempt the purchase again.
What if I don’t use the entire purchase request?
Since you are not charged until you make the purchase, your payment plan will be updated to reflect the new order total divided into four payments and new payment due dates, and your spending power will be adjusted to reflect the new purchase.
What if my purchase ends up being more than the purchase amount?
You must request a new one for the higher amount. Ensure it is within your spending power. You can cancel the current purchase to free up your spending power if needed. Please note that purchase requests cannot be combined to complete an order with a higher transaction total. For example, two approved purchase requests of $25 cannot be used to complete an order for $50.
