There are a couple of reasons why your Amazon order(s) or item(s) may not appear on your account. Most likely, the payment processing for the order is delayed, or you are attempting to purchase unapproved items.
Payment Processing Delay
There can be up to a 48-hour delay in payment authorizations for Sezzle Virtual Card purchases at Amazon. This means your order may not appear in your Sezzle account as soon as you complete the order. This is due to the way Amazon processes payments. If you don’t see your Amazon purchase on your Sezzle account, recheck your Sezzle app later. Usually, the order will appear within 48 hours.
If you’ve followed all the Amazon best practices and guidelines here and still receive a notification that your Amazon order has been declined, you may need to do the following:
- Open Amazon from the Sezzle app, then log into your Amazon account.
- If prompted, select “Revise Payment Methods.” Ensure that your Sezzle Virtual Card is the card being charged for your order.
- If you still don’t see your order has gone through after 24 hours, try these steps again.
If you have a backup payment method on file in your Amazon account, Amazon will attempt to charge this payment method. You may need to remove alternative payment methods so that your Sezzle Virtual Card is the only payment method in your Amazon account.
It is best to check back on your Amazon order every 24 hours through the Sezzle app until your Amazon order appears.
Unapproved Items
Not all products will be approved while using your Sezzle Virtual Card at Amazon, such as:
- Gift Cards
- Wireless Service Plans
- Alcoholic Beverages
- Digital Kindle Products purchased as a subscription
- Food prepared and delivered from a restaurant
- Amazon Appstore
- Prime Now
- Amazon Pay Places
Please remove these items from your cart before (re)trying Sezzle as a payment method at checkout.
Always check your Amazon account for the most up-to-date information on your orders.
