Requirements:
- Must be written to Sezzle from the account holder. Checks from escrow, mortgage, or credit consolidation companies may be accepted as long as the check follows all other criteria and clearly specifies to whom the funds should be applied. Checks from individuals who are not the account holder will not be accepted. If someone you know wants to assist you in paying Sezzle, you may wish to have them give you the money so you can pay us directly.
- Must be received by Sezzle at least 4 business days prior to your scheduled due date to allow for internal processing on time. You should mail the check at least 10 business days prior to your due date to account for this. Remember that Sezzle has no control over when the postal mail reaches our office, so please consider this when mailing payments. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Saturday, Sunday, and Federal holidays.
- Processing Timeline for Check Payments. Once Sezzle receives your check, it will be applied to your account within 4 business days.
- Must be for the exact amount of the payment(s) owed to Sezzle. Partial payments cannot be accepted, nor can Sezzle accept checks that are not for the exact amount due (higher or lower). We will destroy any checks we receive that we cannot process due to a payment amount mismatch.
For proper crediting, your check must be made payable to Sezzle and must include the following information in the memo line:
- The phone number associated with your Sezzle account
- Sezzle Order # (this can be found on the Order Details page within the Customer Dashboard)

If the check is not received on time, it will be attempted on a payment method on file. Any failed and late payments are subject to fees where applicable.
In-Person Card Payments
Scheduled payments can be made in person during Sezzle’s business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm CST) with a debit or credit card at the Sezzle office in Minneapolis at the following address:
