If you place an order that qualifies for long-term financing, you will be offered the opportunity at checkout to get prequalified or check your eligibility to use one of Sezzle’s long-term financing options or partners (Bread FinancialTM, etc.) for your purchase. Please note that not all who apply for long-term financing may receive credit terms.
After providing some additional information, the long-term financing partner offered will determine the flexible financing options you are prequalified for. While pre-qualification does not affect your credit score, once you apply for your preferred loan, a hard credit check may be performed depending on the lender. Ally conducts a hard credit check, while Bread FinancialTM does not at this time. You will then be asked to sign your loan agreement. After this, your order is complete! You will receive an order confirmation email from Sezzle and a loan confirmation email from the long-term financing lender within two weeks.
After you receive the order confirmation, you will be able to see your long-term financing orders with Sezzle in your Sezzle dashboard, but all account actions will take place through your long-term financing account (Bread FinancialTM, etc.) directly. This will include making payments, updating your contact information, etc.
When your order is placed, our long-term financing partner pays the merchant in full immediately, so the merchant has their funds right away and is able to process your order as if you had paid them in full!
