What is In-App Cashback?
Sezzle’s In-App Cashback lets you earn Sezzle Spend when you shop in the Sezzle app. If you open a store or product in the app and it shows a cashback offer, you can earn a reward by placing an order!
Do I need to pay with Sezzle to earn Cashback?
Paying with Sezzle is not required to earn cashback. At this time, you can check out however you normally would, as long as you are within the Sezzle app. Just be sure to shop at a store offering cashback rewards, review the specific cashback eligibility terms and exclusions, and then complete your purchase in the Sezzle app!
Where can I see the Cashback offers available to me?
Look for the “Cashback Offers” section in the “Shop” tab of your Sezzle app, the Cashback icon, or tap on an eligible store or product to start shopping!
How do I make sure I earn Cashback?
To ensure you can earn Cashback in the Sezzle app, follow these steps:
- Tap an offer to open the store or product’s landing page. You can click on the Cashback icon for specifics about the offer, such as how much cashback you can earn, how cashback is calculated, and more.
- Be sure to review all of the eligibility terms and exclusions listed for that offer. This will help you confirm what qualifies for cashback and how long it will take to receive it, depending on the selected merchant.
- Complete your purchase within the Sezzle app and be on the lookout for notifications from us about when your Sezzle Spend reward has been issued!
How long does it take to get my Cashback?
First, your reward will appear in a “Pending” status, which can take up to 10 days. After that, it may take up to 120 days for the reward to become available to use as Sezzle Spend. Once available, your Sezzle Spend reward must be converted to Cashback within 60 days, or it will expire.
The Sezzle Spend in my app is showing as “Pending.” What does this mean?
If you see a “Pending” Sezzle Spend total in your app, it means we are waiting for the merchant to confirm your purchase. Once they do, the reward will change from “Pending” to “Available”. Once available, your Sezzle Spend reward must be converted to Cashback within 60 days, or it will expire.
How do I use my Cashback once it’s ready?
When your reward is ready, it becomes available as Sezzle Spend. You can:
- Use the Spend within 60 days like you would with any other type of Sezzle Spend reward (see more details about how to redeem your Sezzle Spend here: What is Sezzle Spend?), or
- Convert it to Cashback by transferring it to your Sezzle Balance! You can then use the Sezzle Balance to start a new order or pay down an existing one. You can learn more about Sezzle Balance here: What is Sezzle Balance?)
How do I transfer my In-App Cashback rewards to my Sezzle Balance?
To transfer your In-App Cashback rewards to your Sezzle Balance:
- Navigate to the Sezzle Spend tab in your Sezzle app
- Tap on your available Sezzle Spend, and select Transfer to Sezzle Balance. Be sure to double-check your transfer amount.
- Once confirmed, your Cashback rewards will move to your Sezzle Balance, which you can use to place a new order or pay down an existing one!
When do my Sezzle Spend Rewards Expire?
Sezzle Spend rewards earned via In-App Cashback will expire in 60 days. Sezzle Spend earned from other promotions may have varying expiration dates depending on how it was issued. To see when your rewards expire, open the Sezzle app, go to your Account tab, and tap Sezzle Spend under Benefits.
Why didn’t I get the Cashback I expected?
Cashback amounts can vary based on the merchant's terms, product exclusions, or purchase timing. Check the offer details by tapping the Cashback icon before you shop. If something still seems incorrect, contact Sezzle Shopper Support with your order details (including the store, time of order, and total order amount).
The Cashback percentage I saw doesn’t match what I received.
Some products or categories may be excluded from Cashback offers, or the merchant may have changed their terms. Review the specific offer terms by tapping the Cashback icon. If you believe there's an error, reach out to Sezzle Shopper Support with your order details (including the store, time of order, and total order amount).
What if my Cashback didn’t show up at all?
Make sure you completed your entire purchase in the Sezzle app without closing it or switching browsers. If you followed these steps, but still don't see your reward in the “Pending” tab after 10 days, contact Sezzle Shopper Support with your order confirmation email (including the store, time of order, and total order amount).
