What is Sezzle Points?
Sezzle Points is a new rewards currency you can earn in the Earn tab of the Sezzle app. Complete activities to earn Points, then redeem them for rewards like Sezzle Spend or gift cards to your favorite brands.
How are Sezzle Points different from Sezzle Spend?
Sezzle Points can be earned through activities in the Earn tab, such as:
- Arcade (games)
- Gas, dining, grocery, and convenience store offers
- Money IQ
- Referrals
- Sezzle Quest
Sezzle Spend is still earned through:
- Cashback offers
- Pay-in-full purchases
- The Sezzle Browser Extension
Points cannot be applied directly to an order. Instead, you’ll redeem them for Sezzle Spend or gift cards.
How do I use my Sezzle Points?
You’ll have multiple ways to redeem your Sezzle Points!
Transfer to Sezzle Spend:
Convert your Points into Sezzle Spend in just a few taps. Once converted, you can use your Sezzle Spend toward eligible purchases.
Redeem for Gift Cards:
Use Points to redeem gift cards from 100+ popular brands! It’s quick and easy:
- Choose from a wide variety of brands
- Pick from simple preset amounts (like $3, $5, $10, and more)
- No checkout or extra steps required
- No loan or subscription needed
Please note that the number of points required to redeem gift cards may vary by brand.
How Do I Redeem My Sezzle Points for Rewards?
Redeeming your Points in the Sezzle app is quick and easy:
- Navigate to your Sezzle Points balance from the "Earn" tab or from your "Account" tab:
- Tap the Sezzle Points icon in the top right corner, or
- Go to the Accounts tab by selecting your initial in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, then scroll to the Benefits section, and click on Sezzle Points.
- This will bring you to the “Use Points” tab, where you can browse available rewards like:
- Sezzle Spend
- Gift cards
- Giveaways (if available)
- Select the "Transfer to Sezzle Spend" option to select an amount, or select a reward to see more details, including:
- An overview of the gift card merchant or giveaway
- The number of Points required to redeem
- A description and any applicable terms
- Once you’ve chosen a reward, confirm your selection to complete the redemption. Your reward will be issued:
- Sezzle Spend will be added to your account, or
- Gift cards will be delivered digitally, or
- Giveaway entries will be recorded
- You’ll receive a confirmation once your redemption is complete
Do Sezzle Points expire?
Yes. Sezzle Points expire if you don’t earn new Points within 90 days.
Every time you earn Points through activities in the Earn tab, your 90-day timer starts over. If no additional Points are earned during those 90 days, your entire Points balance will expire.
To keep your Points active, you must earn new Points at least once every 90 days.
Will I get notified before my Points expire?
Yes, we’ll send reminder emails before your Points expire so you have time to earn more Points and keep your balance.
Your Sezzle Points balance can be viewed from within the Sezzle app and on your Dashboard when logged into the Sezzle website.
What is the Leaderboard?
The Leaderboard shows how your fellow shoppers are ranking based on Sezzle Points earned during the current month. Here’s how it works:
- The Leaderboard tracks Points earned throughout the month and resets at the start of each new month.
- Your ranking is based on the total number of Points you earn during that month.
- Spending or redeeming Points does not affect your rank.
- You must earn at least 1 Point during the month to appear on the Leaderboard.
- Once eligible, you’ll be able to see your ranking!
- You can also explore other public profiles to see where fellow Sezzle Shoppers are earning Points.
You can customize how you appear on the Leaderboard by editing your social profile.
Can I control what others see on the Leaderboard?
Yes. When you first enter the Earn tab, you can create a social profile and choose your:
- Display name
- Username
- Profile visibility (public or private)
If your profile is set to private, other shoppers won’t be able to see detailed earnings information.
You can update your profile at any time by going to your Account tab and selecting Social Profile. From there, you can edit your avatar, name, and privacy settings.
Do I need to shop with Sezzle to earn Points?
No, points earned in the Earn tab don’t require a purchase or subscription. These features allow users to accumulate reward points independently of using payment plans.
Why did Sezzle introduce Points?
Sezzle introduced Sezzle Points to give users more ways to earn rewards and get value from the platform beyond payment plans. The program allows users to earn Points through activities in the Earn tab and redeem them by converting to Sezzle Spend or for gift cards with participating brands. Sezzle Points have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
