Note: If your installment has already been paid or started processing, unfortunately, the payment method cannot be changed.

Debit or Credit Card
- From the Sezzle app or your Sezzle dashboard, go to “Account,” then navigate to “Payment Methods”
- Click "+ Add Card" and input your card details.
- Once added, you can choose to have the card set as the default for down or scheduled payments.
If you add a debit or credit card to your account and it appears in the "Prepaid card" section, your financial institution has designated the card as a prepaid card. If you have questions about why a card is labeled as a prepaid card, please contact your card issuer directly (typically by calling the phone number on the back of the card) to learn more about the card.
Bank Account
- From the Sezzle app or your Sezzle dashboard, go to “Account,” then navigate to “Payment Methods”
- Select "+ Add Bank/Checking Account."
- To make it easier for you to add a bank account, we have two linking methods:
- Near the bottom of the page, see "Log in via Plaid." This allows you to use your online banking username and password to log into your bank account and select the account you want to link.
- If your bank isn't on the list of options to instantly link, or if you run into issues logging into your bank account, you can also add your bank account manually. Select "Link bank account" and enter your account and routing numbers. Within 3-5 business days, we'll deposit two micro-deposits (less than $1.00 each) and immediately withdraw one (which will be the sum of the two deposits, less than $2.00 total). Afterward, you must return to the "Payment Methods" page to verify the withdrawn amounts. Once your account is verified, it’s ready for use! Please ensure the account being added has sufficient funds at the time of the micro-deposits to avoid any potential NSF fees that the subsequent withdrawal of those deposits could incur.
Bank accounts cannot be used as payment methods for down payments but can be used for other scheduled installments. Once you've added your bank account, you can designate it as the default payment method for scheduled installments on the Payment Methods screen.
Prepaid Card
- From the Sezzle app or your Sezzle dashboard, go to “Account,” then Navigate to “Payment Methods.”
- Click on "+ Add Prepaid Card" and input your card details.
- Once added, it will automatically appear in that page's "Prepaid card" section.
Since prepaid cards can't be used to place orders or for scheduled installments, you won't have the option to set them as your default payment method. However, you can use them to pay off existing installments. To learn about how to pay off installments, click here.
