While there's no way to pay off an order in full immediately with Sezzle during checkout, you are able to pay off your installments early once the order has been placed. We don't charge any pre-payment fees or interest, so there's no direct benefit to paying off an order early. However, paying off an order in full early may increase your chances of getting a new order approved, so we recommend doing so if you've been declined for orders in the past.
There are two main methods to pay an order off early - logging into your account and directly paying off installments early, or updating your scheduled installments to come out earlier than originally scheduled.
Directly paying installments off early
If you want to pay off an installment immediately, you can always log in to your account and pay them off directly. This is commonly referred to as "pay now" and allows you to use a current payment method, or a prepaid card to pay off installments.
To do so, log into your Sezzle account, select the order, and then select the installment that you'd like to pay off. You'll then have the ability to pay off that installment directly and choose the payment method you'd like that installment to be charged to.
- This method is the only way to use a prepaid card to pay off installments.
- This process must be completed in order of installments - so the second installment must be paid off before you can pay off your third installment. Once the previous installment has been paid, you'll see the option to pay appear on the next installment.
- Once you have selected "Confirm," we cannot cancel or adjust the payment.
- This is also the way to fix failed payments.
Automatically paying installments off early
If you would like to continue paying off your order via automatic installments but would like them to follow an earlier schedule, you can also reschedule your installments to be taken out of your account on earlier dates. Unlike rescheduling payments to a later date, there are no fees associated with moving your installments to an earlier date. However, if you move your installments to an earlier date and then wish to push them back to a later date, even to the date they were originally scheduled, that does count as a reschedule where a fee might be applicable. To reschedule your payments, log into your Sezzle account, select the order, and then select the installment you'd like to adjust. You'll then have the ability to reschedule that payment to an earlier date, as well as update any remaining installments to the new schedule. For example, if you move one installment up by a week, you can then move all other installments on that same order up by a week.
