Anywhere is Sezzle’s subscription-based service that allows you to use Sezzle’s Virtual Card at U.S. merchants in-store via Apple Pay or Google Pay or online wherever Visa is accepted, with a few exceptions based on Sezzle’s Acceptable Use Policy. Learn more about Anywhere here.
Sezzle is committed to financially empowering shoppers by supporting responsible spending. Therefore, our system does not approve 100% of orders. We are unable to approve any orders or increase spending power manually.
Please note that there may be certain purchases in which the merchant requires a specific payment method, i.e., a hotel authorization requiring a credit card on file. In these cases, the merchant may decline the purchase despite the order being eligible for approval with Sezzle. If this occurs, please reach out to the merchant directly for more information.

If these situations do not apply to your account, but you are still getting declined, then the merchant you are attempting to shop with or the product or service is unavailable to use with Sezzle.

Declined due to a failed payment that has occurred on an order. This decline also may occur if one of your payments is in the "pending" or "processing" statuses. |
Login to your dashboard and pay off any failed payments. If you have a failed payment on your account, you won't be able to place new orders until the failed payment is paid off. Learn more about resolving failed payments here. If you have payments in the "processing" or "pending" statuses, try placing your order after four business days per industry ACH processing timelines. Rescheduled Payments* | Declined due to one or more rescheduled payments on your account. |
Login to your dashboard and pay off any rescheduled payments. If you have a rescheduled payment on your account, you won't be able to place new orders until the rescheduled payment is paid off. To pay an installment, log into your account in your app or at dashboard.sezzle.com and navigate to the active orders in which you have rescheduled payments. Please note that paying off these installments with a bank account may take up to four business days to process before your account is open for future purchases. |
Default Payment Method on Virtual Card | Your bank is declining the default payment method associated with your Sezzle Virtual Card. |
