How do I refer someone to Sezzle?
To refer a user, look in your Sezzle app under the "Earn" tab and click on the "Referrals" button at the top or the "Refer & Get Rewarded" banner at the bottom. This will take you to a screen where you will be able to text or email a unique code to friends and family. When they use your code, they will be prompted to sign up for Sezzle and earn Sezzle Points as soon as they create their account.
If the person you are referring to Sezzle already has a Sezzle account, then neither of you will be eligible to receive Sezzle Points for the referral.
What if I refer someone but do not receive my Sezzle Points?
If you referred someone to Sezzle but have not received your Sezzle Points yet, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
- Verify that the person you referred is a brand-new Sezzle shopper. If they had a preexisting Sezzle account, the referral will not be accepted.
- Confirm that the person you referred has used Sezzle to place an order of at least $100 within 90 days of signing up. If the order total is below $100, you will not receive Sezzle Points.
- Note that the Sezzle Points reward may take up to 14 days to be processed and credited to your Sezzle account. Your Sezzle Points expire if you don’t earn new Points within 90 days.
Why can't I refer a friend?
If you do not see the option to refer a friend, this could be because you have an unpaid, processing, failed, or rescheduled payment. To resolve any failed payments, navigate to Orders on your dashboard and select "Pay" next to the order you'd like to pay off. Once that payment is done processing and marked as “paid,” you should be able to refer a friend again.
