Gift cards are available to subscribers of Sezzle Premium or Anywhere and eligible Quebec shoppers.
By purchasing gift cards from Premium merchants through Sezzle, you can shop in-store or online with many more brands that are not direct partners with Sezzle while building positive repayment history with Sezzle.
If you have access, there are a few ways to locate a gift card brand in the Sezzle app:
- From the “Shop” tab, see “Most Popular Gift Cards”
- From the “Accounts” tab, click “Gift Cards,” and shop all gift cards
How to buy and use a gift card:
- Select a gift card in the Sezzle app.
- Enter the desired amount of the gift card.
- Upon completing the Sezzle gift card order, the gift card details will be presented to you. You can also access your gift card by going to the “Account” tab, clicking “Gift Cards,” and selecting “Wallet.” This order will then be visible in your Sezzle dashboard.
- To use in-store, present the gift card barcode or QR code (if available) or show the gift card number and PIN to the cashier to complete your transaction.
- To use online, enter the gift card number and PIN on the brand’s website in order to complete your purchase.
I bought a gift card, but I haven’t received it.
The gift card will be available for you in the Sezzle app, not in the confirmation email. Sezzle does not offer any physical gift cards at this time.
I bought a gift card, but I haven’t received my order from the merchant.
Once you place the gift card order with Sezzle, you will still need to apply it at the merchant’s checkout. See the steps above to do so. If you are still having trouble, please contact the merchant.
I bought a gift card, but it’s not working.
Some stores may take up to 48 hours to activate a gift card, so we recommend buying your gift card before checkout.
Note that after the gift card is purchased, Sezzle does not have visibility into checkout issues or order details when attempting to use the gift card. We recommend reaching out to the merchant your purchased the gift card for for assistance.
Can I adjust, cancel, or return a gift card?
Once you purchase a gift card, the amount can’t be adjusted. However, if your gift card does not cover the total amount of your order, you can purchase another one to cover the difference. Note that some merchants limit the number of gift cards you can buy.
The purchase of any gift card is final. We cannot cancel, refund, or adjust gift card amounts. The store will typically issue store credit if you receive a refund on your order. We recommend you read the store's policies on gift card orders before placing an order.
How to buy an Air Canada, Foot Locker, or Home Depot Gift Card in Canada (does not apply to US Shoppers).
- Select the brand in the Sezzle app.
- You will be directed to redeem.giftcards.ca. Click “Pay with Sezzle,” then “+ New Gift Card.”
- Enter the desired amount of the gift card and complete the transaction.
- The gift card will now be available in your Sezzle gift cards but still needs to be redeemed.
- Copy and paste the gift card number and PIN at redeem.giftcards.ca and click “Redeem Card.”
- Select the merchant you’d like to redeem your gift card at (i.e., Foot Locker), enter delivery information, and press “Place Order.”
- Your gift card will be emailed to the email address provided to be used online or in-store.
